Singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw is another celebrity who will break it down on this season of Dancing with the Stars. The "I Don't Want to Be" singer will compete with professional dancer and returning champ Karina Smirnoff.
"Gavin is doing amazing," the Ukrainian beauty told InStyle.com. "He has a sweet, funny personality that comes across in his dancing. And he has rhythm!"
Born and raised in New York, DeGraw, 35, rose to fame after "I Don't Want to Be" became the theme song for the WB drama One Tree Hill. Gavin's other hits include "Chariot," "Follow Through," "In Love with a Girl," and "Not Over You."
Season 14 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars kicks off on March 19. DeGraw will compete with Roshon Fegan, Donald Driver, Melissa Gilbert, Katherine Jenkins, Gladys Knight, William Levy, Maria Menounos, Martina Navratilova, Sherri Shepherd, Jaleel White, and Jack Wagner for the coveted mirror ball trophy.
StarCam's Jennifer Tapiero caught up with Gavin at the Star magazine party last April, where the two briefly chatted about the celebrity tabloid. DeGraw says he can't resist checking out the mag, though he always fears what he's going to find. Thanks to his gig on one of America's most beloved reality shows, Gavin will likely see himself in the pages of Star more often!
