Olympic diver and teenage heart throb, Tom Daley seems to be coming up a lot lately, as we draw nearer to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
Described as one of the most dramatic figures ever to be featured at Madame Tussauds, Daley is captured in mid-dive as he soars from the diving board towards the water. The sculpture is suspended four metres above ground in a specially designed aquatic set where guests can literally walk right underneath him mid-dive.
The video below shows how it was created, and I must say, it's quite the process. From the sitting, to the sculpting, to the wax, to inserting his hair, strand by strand, and painting the body. It's incredible to see the behind the scenes of what is involved in such a project. I highly recommend checking it out below.
