CBS daytime talk show The Talk was renewed for a third season, with everyone staying on board, including lesbian cohost and executive producer, Sara Gilbert.
Julie Chen, Sharon Osborne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood are Gilbert's costars who will all return for the third season.
The show averages 2.2 million viewers. A CBS executive attributed the show's success to the chemistry of the current panel lineup.
"We're proud that The Talk has already established great brand identity in only its second season. Much of the success can be attributed to our hosts' chemistry and the work of our producers, whose selection of topics and guests are clearly resonating with viewers," said David Stapf, president, CBS Television Studios.
Gilbert is the sister of actress Melissa Gilbert and actor Jonathan Gilbert. Because of her siblings acting career in the classic family drama Little House on the Praire, Sara began acting at a very young age.
Gilbert is known for the hit show, Roseanne in which she starred as Darlene Connor from 1988-1997.
She graduated from Yale University in 1997, majoring in art. She and her partner, producer Allison Adler, have two children.
